Planning = 1st Step to Success

Dear Fellow Passionate Media Followers,

 Today, we worked more on getting a concrete plan together to shoot out film opener.  We started assigning people tasks and setting more concrete dates. I have attached the plan below.

Week 1:

-Start brainstorming ideas for the film opener (completed)  (whole group does this)

-Start getting together a camera equipment plan (completed)   (whole group does this)

-Start coming up with the overviews of characters (completed)  (whole group does this)

-Start coming up with plot ideas (completed)  (whole group does this)

Week 2:

-Finalize the idea for our film opener (have characters all planned out and have plot of story all planned out)   (completed) (whole group does this)

-Start storyboarding our film  (whole group does this) (completed)  

-Meet with other people in our class to brainstorm ideas and offer advice.  (completed) (whole group does this)

-Start finalizing supplies list  we need to buy to make film (completed)  (whole group does this)

Week 3:

-Have all the supplies and camera equipment purchased and stored at one group members house  (not completed) (Matthew)

-On the weekend all meet up to go to Oakland Park, FL and Miami, FL to location scout - note Matthew will be driving everyone  (not completed) (whole group does this)

-Purchase luts and overlays for film  (not completed) (Nicolas)

-Call lense rental place to reserve lens on the two days we will be shooting  (not completed) (Matthew)

-Get two camera bodies and store them at home  (not completed) (Nicolas)

-get lighting  (not completed) (Andre)

-Start to get all of the customs  (not completed) (Justin)

-Get audio equipment (Nicolas)

Week 4:

Day of Shoot:  

-Get water for talent  (not completed) (Andre)

-Get ice for talent  (not completed) (Andre)

-Get food for talent  (not completed)(Andre)

-Brings speaker, script, and tory board (not completed) (Justin)

-Pick up lense at rental place  (not completed) (Matthew)

-Bring camera and audio equipment (not completed) (Nicolas)

-Bring lights  (not completed) (Justin)

-Bring skateboards and costumes  (not completed) (Justin)

-Start shooting film (Saturday- Sunday 8am-2pm)  (not completed) (whole group does this)

  Overall, we need to keep working on this plan this upcoming week but we are definitely making a lot of progress. I am scared that we are going to forget to get something and realize it when we are filming but I feel like starting to plan this early is going to prevent that from happening. I will post our plan when we start making it better!
